My husband was transferred to a branch office in Missouri last year. We were excited about the move for a number of reasons. It would bring us even closer to both of our families, and he would be making more money. I work from home, so it really does not matter where I work from, as long as I have a reliable Internet connection. We looked at houses online, and the one that we really liked was in a rural area. I did an online search for Missouri satellite Internet before we even looked at the house, because I wanted to make sure that I would be able to have fast Internet there if we bought it.
I did not want to get my hopes up, just to find out that I would have to rely on dial up Internet. I knew that it was too rural for cable or DSL Internet to be an option, because it would just be too expensive for any company to run those lines all the way out there. I was able to find a site that told me all about HugheNet, who is an authorized dealer for satellite Internet.
I liked everything that I read, and it did not take long for me to find out that we would not have any problems getting satellite there. I was not worried about line of sight, because I could tell from online maps that trees were not going to be a problem. We went out to look at the house a few weeks before we had to be moved there, and made an offer on it. It was quickly accepted, and then I was able to arrange for HughesNet to have an installer come out before we were even fully moved in. I only missed a couple of days of work, which was because of actually driving there!
